Victims of sexual violence and abuse

Support for Victims of Sexual Violence & Abuse

We provides free, confidential support for individuals affected by sexual violence and abuse. Whether the experience is recent or occurred in the past, you are entitled to care, clarity, and compassion, without being forced to relive your trauma or take actions you are not ready for.

Understanding Sexual Violence & Abuse

Sexual violence and abuse can happen in many ways and to people of all ages, genders, and backgrounds. It may be committed by a stranger, a partner, a family member, an authority figure, or someone you trusted.

This may include:

Sexual acts without consent

Sexual coercion or manipulation

Abuse involving power, threats, or control

Childhood sexual abuse

Exploitation or forced sexual activity

If consent was not freely given or if you felt pressured, threatened, or unable to say no, your experience matters and deserves support.

How we provide support

We provide a safe space where you can speak freely, be believed, and feel supported. Our counsellors help survivors:

Support is available through confidential and remote options to protect your privacy.

We do not force reporting or legal action. We provide clarity so you can make informed choices.

Explaining justice and protection processes in simple terms

Discussing safety considerations before any action

Supporting decision-making at your pace

Helping you plan next steps safely, if and when you choose

Your safety always comes first.
